I know it’s no surprise, but I love Paris. I’ve walked, biked, driven and run through her streets a few days a year most of my adult life. And I love it.

My favorite restaurant in the world is in Paris. I started going to Frenchie 8 years ago when Gregory Marchand came back from his stint with Jaime Oliver in London. At the time, there were only 6 tables at Frenchie. Even now there are only 10 tables. So plan ahead when you’re going to Paris and get your reservation. There are 7 and 9:30 pm seatings. Best meal of your life. Just LOOK at that fish!
The good news is a few years ago, they opened the Frenchie Wine Bar which serves 12-18 small plates every night and does not require a reservation. There is also Frenchie To Go with offers breakfast and lunch options in a casual walk-in setting. It’s all as good as food gets.
They are all on the same street in one of my favorite areas of Paris and it’s about the happiest street in the world. At least that’s how I feel when I’m on Rue de Nil.
Other favorites in Paris include Cafe Peret, L’As du Fallafel, onion soup as Les Philosphes, Berthillon ice cream, Eric Kayser, or a ham and cheese sandwich at literally ANY bakery you find. I’m not for dressing up and taking 4 hours to eat. And with the new French Bistro style Gregory helped revolutionize you can get the best food anywhere without losing your evening and packing your suit!
