Welcome to The Hubby Chef! I suppose a love of food is in my genes. My mother is from Amish descent and my father is Lebanese. And trust me, these people know how to eat! My mother told me when I was still a teenager that if you can read you can cook. And as usual, she was right.
My wife has had great success the last year in the Weight Watchers program. And during that year I have found that better, fresh ingredients and more inventive recipes have been the key to keeping her love of food alive, even with what others would consider restrictions to that end. These recipes have kept her on the plan, making progress yet feeling satisfied.
I also have a life-long friend battling heart disease. I’ve enjoyed cooking low sodium alternatives to food I know he loves. I’ll be posting those as well from time to time.
I hope my recipes will help others on this or similar diets realize that eating is always a pleasure and everyone can cook.
